The Melody Maker’s been missing in action the last couple records because it’s been behind glass. Good to have it back for a few rounds before it goes back on display.

Ever wondered why some objects in the museum get temporarily removed?
There can be many reasons — and sometimes, it’s because they’re being called back into action...
This Gibson Melody Maker guitar belongs to Dom Mariani, singer and guitarist of The Stems, and it has been living in our Reflections Gallery.
Mariani’s band, Datura4, is recording their sixth album, so he has borrowed the trusty instrument, which was loaned to the Museum, back — knowing it would be just right for playing slide guitar.
This iconic guitar will be back on display soon, but for now, it’s busy adding to its discography!
